I started mowing lawns…
…as a chore like most kids. In high school I mowed lawns with my dad as a summer job. I have enjoyed lawn care ever since. As I grew up, matured, graduated college & theological seminary, started a family, and working in church/pastoral ministry, I was drawn back into lawn care as a way to earn an income, but also as a very intentional way, even theological way, to care for God’s creation. Another big part is that the vision for our church plant - The Dwelling - is that we as pastors are not relying on a church salary. Our desire for the church is to empower all believers to see themselves as ministers wherever they find themselves. In a way, I’m like the Apostle Paul who was a tentmaker while planting churches.
